ABSTRAK.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tindak tutur direktif serta fungsi tuturannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif, yaitu meneliti pada kondisi objek yang alamiah, dimana peneliti adalah sebagai instrument kunci. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik participant observation adalah studi yang disengaja dan dilakukan secara sistematis, terencana, terarah pada suatu tujuan dimana pengamat atau peneliti terlibat langsung dalam dalam diskusi kelas yang berlangsung pada ruang zoom meeting Bersama subjek atau kelompok yang diteliti. Dengan keterlibatan langsung dalam diskusi kelas menyebabkan terjadinya hubungan sosial dan emosional antara peneliti dengan subjek yang diteliti, dampaknya si peneliti mampu menghayati perasaan, sikap, pola pikir yang mendasari perilaku subjek yang diteliti terhadap masalah yang dihadapi. Analisis data melalui interpretasi rekaman percakapan mahasiswa pada saat proses diskusi sehingga instrumen penelitian ini berupa buku catatan dan rekaman percakapan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk tuturan direktif yang dilakukan mahasiswa pada saat diskusi kelas menggunakan media zoom meeting terdiri atas Tindak tutur direktif memerintah, memohon, menasehati, menuntut, memesan yang setiap tuturannya memiliki beberapa fungsi yaitu Fungsi Instrumental, representasional, interaksional, personal, heuristik, imajinatif

ABSTRACT.

This study aims to describe directive speech acts and their speech functions. The method used is a qualitative research method, namely examining the condition of a natural object, where the researcher is the key instrument. Data collection is carried out using the participant observation technique, which is a deliberate study carried out in a systematic, planned, directed manner where the observer or researcher is directly involved in class discussions that take place in the zoom meeting room with the subject or group being studied. With direct involvement in class discussions causing social and emotional relationships between the researcher and the subject being studied, the impact is that the researcher is able to appreciate the feelings, attitudes, and mindsets that underlie the behavior of the subject under study towards the problems at hand. Data analysis through interpretation of recorded student conversations during the discussion process so that the research instrument was in the form of notebooks and recorded conversations. The results showed that the form of directive speech made by students during class discussions using the media zoom meeting consisted of directive speech acts commanding, pleading, advising, demanding, ordering which each utterance has several functions, namely Instrumental, representational, interactional, personal, heuristic, imaginative.
